Nature Walk: Bluebird House Installation

THIS IS HAPPENING ON SATURDAY, MARCH 24! In collaboration with Wild Birds Unlimited, of Woburn, and supported by a grant from Wegmans, Burlington, we we will be installing a set of bird houses specifically to encourage the dwindling population of bluebirds in our area. Central Field in Mary Cummings Park should be an idea location: a quiet meadow with woods (almost) all around. Lantern Walk at Horn Pond: A Fundraiser for Friends of Mary Cummings Park

On Sunday, May 27th, Memorial Day, there will again be a Lantern Walk around Horn Pond. This annual event is a chance to celebrate the lives of loved ones who have left us, while also making a donation to The Friends of Mary Cummings Park. Suggested donation is $5 to $20. Boot’s Back for September!

Boot Boutwell is back for our September Nature Walk. The always-popular Boot will lead us in a study of wildflowers and plants, complete with Boot's own storytelling and poetry additions. His walks are always popular with all ages. As always, we will meet at the parking lot at roughly 26 Blanchard Road at 10am. Walk lasts until about noon. Ticks will certainly be possible, so tucking pants into socks and spraying with insect repellent is recommended.

If you are interested in learning about this melding of photography and video this is your chance to learn. We will cover using a smart phone, which is easy, as well as more powerful and much more complex ways of working, using Lightroom to process thousands of photos, then video editing to convert image stacks into movies.
