Identifying Poison Ivy in Winter
March 7 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Poison ivy can be difficult to identify in winter, without the classic “leaves of three” to go by.
But there are a number of things to look for.
Poison ivy expert Jon Sachs (www.poison-ivy.org) will lead this informative nature walk.
In addition to looking for the typical growth patterns: ground vine, climbing vine, shrub, we will use the SeeLeaf kit to positively identify poison ivy vines.
The event is free and we go ahead in all weather except heavy rain. Wear boots! It will be either snowy or muddy!
We will meet at the soccer field parking lot at 10am, at roughly 26 Blanchard Road in Burlington.
